Holiday Tradition

We got this recipe from one of the sweetest professors at PC, Dr. Suzie Smith. It quickly became part of our holiday meals in our family. It's such a treat and everyone loves it!

Cranberry Apple Casserole

3 peeled and diced apples (granny smith)

1 (12 oz) bag of cranberries

3/4 cup of sugar (or splenda)

topping:

1/2 cup quick oatmeal

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup all purpose flour

1/2 cup chopped pecans

1/2 cup melted butter

Place cranberries in a 9 x 9 casserole dish sprayed with Pam. Sprinkle 3/4 cup sugar over cranberries. Top with apples. Mix oatmeal, brown sugar, flour, and pecans and spread over fruit. Pour or spoon butter evenly over topping. Bake at 350 for 35-45 minutes.
