Meatballs

I saw these meatballs at Whole Foods in the fresh meat section and I thought we would give them a try.  I made this sauce for them and was very pleased with the taste.  They were Tex Mex meatballs, not traditional Italian style ones.

For the sauce:
1 (14-ounce) can diced tomatoes
2 canned chipotle chiles in adobo sauce
1/4 medium yellow onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon oregano
1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
1 cup chicken broth
1 tablespoon lime juice
Salt

Put all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.  Simmer over medium-low heat.

Bake meatballs for 20 minutes at 350 degrees.  Remove from pan and add to sauce.  Simmer for 20 minutes.  Serve with shredded Monterrey jack cheese on top.
