Fresh Tomatillo-Avocado Salsa

I made chicken tostadas again from an earlier post. This time I made this salsa and loved it. It was light and fresh and tangy. I ate it on top of a taco salad the next day for lunch instead of dressing.
8 oz tomatillos, husked, rinsed, and coarsely chopped
1 avocado, halved, pitted and peeled
1/2 cup packed fresh cilantro leaves
1 serrano chile
1 Tbsp lemon juice
salt and freshly cracked pepper

Combine tomatillos, avocado, cilantro, chile, and lemon juice in a blender and puree until smooth. Season with salt and pepper, to taste. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
