Cake Pops!

My adorable sister loves to bake yummy things. Since cake pops are all the rave, she decided to make them for her roommate's birthday party. They were so precious, I had to put them on the blog. I can't wait for an excuse to make them. Wouldn't they be perfect treats for a baby shower?
Here's her guest post:
1 box cake mix, any flavor (these were yellow)

1 can frosting (this was fluffy vanilla)

1 bag candy melts or white almond bark or chocolate

sprinkles

*I put a few drops of food coloring in the almond bark, but it makes it very hard to work with. They say the gel kind won't ruin your chocolate (which is what I used), but more than a drop or 2 turns it into a fondant type texture.

Make a 13x9 inch cake, following the instructions on the box. Let it cool. Crumble and add in 1 can of frosting. Place in the refrigerator for 15 minutes. After chilling, form the mixture into balls, then place a sucker stick into the top of each ball. Pop them in the refrigerator for another 15 minutes. While waiting, start melting your candy melts. After 15 minutes in the fridge, dip and swirl each pop into your candy melt. Once youhave an even coating on the cake pop, toss with sprinkles and place the stick in a styrofoam block while the candy melt shell hardens. Store in refrigerator or freezer until ready to eat.
