SUCCESS!

This beautiful slice of bread is the follow-up t0 my previous failed attempt at a honey wheat bread in the bread machine. This bread is so good! It makes the best peanut butter sandwich! The recipe is a treasure from my friend Elizabeth, who got me into bread making. I love that I know everything that went into it and it's not jam-packed full of preservatives.

Let's just call this Elizabeth's guest post...

1 1/2 c. water

2 tsp salt

1/3 cup honey

2 1/4 cup bread flour

2 cup whole wheat flour

2 Tbsp shortening

2 Tbsp dry milk

1 tsp bread machine or quick active dry yeast

Put ingredients in bread machine and program to dough cycle. When dough cycle finishes, dump out onto a lightly floured surface. Use rolling pin to roll into a small rectangle. Roll up and tuck ends under. Place in greased loaf pan in warm place for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes
